Host – Full Time | Poon’s at Somerset House
Poon’s is a London institution. Since the 1970s, the Poon family has been serving home cooked Cantonese food to the city, and today we carry that legacy on at Somerset House: a lively, characterful restaurant built around wind-dried meats, roast duck, wontons and generous sharing plates, set in one of London’s most iconic cultural landmarks.
We’re looking for a full-time Host to be the first and last face our guests see. You’ll set the tone for every visit by greeting guests warmly, managing the book and the door, and keeping the flow of the room running smoothly from a quiet lunch to a packed Saturday night. You’ll work closely with the floor and kitchen teams to make sure every table is seated at the right time, every guest feels looked after, and every service runs to plan.
We’d love to hear from you if you’re calm under pressure, naturally welcoming and highly organised, and you take pride in great hospitality. Previous hosting or reservations experience is a plus, but attitude matters most. Full training is provided.
